Victoria Baths was described as “a water palace of which every citizen of Manchester can be proud” when it opened in 1906. The building provided spacious and extensive facilities for swimming and other leisure activities (in the winter months dances and sports such as bowls), bathing and well-being in the Turkish Baths suite. It was built of the highest quality materials, boasting many distinctive architectural details and decorative features. Take a closer look by exploring our gallery.
