Q: I’m studying at the University of Manchester / RNCM / ManMet – does that make me a Neighbour?
A: Yes J. For just £3 a year, you get free access to events like Helios, and 10% off in our Tea Room and Shop. You can bring your parents in for free during a Welcome Tuesday and show them around the buildings.
Q: I work at the MRI – can I get a free membership?
A: You can visit Victoria Baths for free on a Welcome Tuesday from April to September. You could also join us as a Neighbour for just £3 a year which then gives you free access to events like Helios, and 10% off in our Tea Room and Shop.
Q: I have a passionate interest in Manchester’s heritage. How can I get involved?
A: You can join our Inner Circle, and we’ll build a bespoke package of benefits for you. You will get exclusive access to events at Victoria Baths and a unique opportunity to leave your mark. Details on application.
Q: I love Victoria Baths’ architecture and want to support your renovation projects.
A: It sound like we will be Best Friends. For £20 / month (£240 / year) you will be on the guest list for all Victoria Baths events and you’ll have free access to our new series of Heritage Talks.
Q: How does a donation to Victoria Baths help the people of Manchester ?
A: We estimate that it costs £500 every time we open up for a Welcome Tuesday and we rely on our volunteers along with income from our Friends, donations from the public, and ticket sales to help us keep the doors open. Victoria Baths is a fine example of civic architecture which has become a community-powered hub giving a place where people can come together to discover, experience and celebrate.
Q: I regularly volunteer at Victoria Baths events – does that make me a Friend?
A: Firstly, thank you for everything that you do for Victoria Baths. We’re pleased to say that yes, our regular volunteers get an honorary Friendship for the year in which they volunteer. Talk to our volunteer coordinator to learn more.
Q: I got married at Victoria Baths, what type of Friendship does that give me?
A: All wedding couples get a complimentary Friendship for the year of their wedding, plus the following year. A joint membership after that would be £40 per couple living at the same address
Q: Why should I join as a Family instead of taking out a Joint membership?
A: A Family membership includes free entry and priority access to all our family-friendly activities including Picnic in the Pool and Mini Monster Mash. If you intend to bring your U12s along to all our events, the Family membership will save you money and give you peace of mind from having priority access.
