DESCRIPTION:For the second year running\, Bee Pedal Ready and Station South are joining bike forces to bring glowing wheeling women to the dark streets and parks of Manchester – Lights Up\, encore! \nJoin the bike ride Saturday 9 November. The main ‘bike disco’ ride will weave across the city as a pack before heading south\, towards and through 3 different parks before wheeling our way over to the astounding Victoria Baths for brews\, hot food and a bike party! \n \nPlease note the bike rides take place over a number of routes and finish at Victoria Baths for a post-ride party. Please check where you wish to start your ride from via the event page here. \nBringing awareness to the number of women that cycle falls significantly through the darker and winter months\, through various barriers. We want to change this. \nWe are offering ‘feeder rides’ to and from the city\, where we’ll ride in as a group to meet a plethora of amazing women of all ages at All Saint’s Park – this will form our ‘main ride’. \n \nMore info on the bike ride… \n\nTo ensure illuminations across the ride\, we have a couple of pannier bags full of wheel lights – free to you – for women joining feeder rides AND for the first 50 to arrive at the main ride.\nAll bikes are welcome! Discover and shop the best Furniture\, Ceramics\, Art\, Homewares and Records. \nOnce inside the fabulous Grade II* Victoria Baths\, you’ll find the main hall\, swimming pool\, and balcony filled with Vintage Traders. Find unique and fabulous items from the 1930’s-1990’s for your home including Sideboards\, Dining Furniture\, Funky Chairs\, Lighting\, Retro Artwork\, Atomic Fabrics\, Radios and much more! Prices from £1 to £1000’s. \nIf you are new to vintage\, we’d love you to come along and convert you to a more sustainable way of shopping for your home! \n \nVintage Home Show operates a timed ticket entry as the show is very popular and gets busy. This way we can manage the number of visitors in the building to keep your visit a pleasure and allow you to see everything. Simply arrive anytime within your allocated hour and stay as long as you wish. \n\nEarly Bird entry is 10:30am (for those who are really keen)\nStandard Entry is from 11 am onwards. Pick a time slot\, arrive between those times\, and then stay as long as you want\nUnder 16 years GO FREE\nFind the nearest multi-story at the Manchester Royal Infirmary up the road (more info here)\, or you can find free on-street car parking in the local area. Parking at the Baths is very limited.\nNo dogs allowed (sorry)\, only assistance dogs\nThe event takes place in various parts of the Edwardian Swimming Baths and there are stairs involved to get to two areas of the show. Due to the age of the venue\, there are no lifts. However\, the main hall and cafe are fully accessible.\nMost traders take card payments but we advise you to bring some cash too. There are cash machines just up the road if you need one. Ask our door staff for directions.\nAn on-site café serving a selection of cakes\, savories\, pastries\, soup\, and drinks will be open during the fair.\nA booking fee of 50p is applied per transaction\, not per ticket.\nOnce your visitor ticket(s) is/are booked and paid\, there is no refund option available.\nGinger Biscuit Events Limited take Photographs and/or videos at The Vintage Home Shows. Enjoy a day of heritage & history with free crafts and games\, an interactive “drawing pool”\, and optional guided tours. \nA great opportunity to visit Victoria Baths. No expense was spared in its construction\, the building is remarkably intact and you can still discover the beautiful stained glass\, rich terracotta\, sumptuous tiles\, and amazing mosaics. Our Discover Victoria Baths tour is led by an experienced volunteer guide and covers the heritage and history of the Baths whilst taking you through the beautiful building. Our Wednesday Tour starts at 1pm and lasts approximately 1¼ hours. Tour tickets are available to purchase in advance. Limited tickets may be available on the door but we advise booking online for our tours to avoid disappointment. Tour tickets for Under 18’s are free but must be accompanied by an adult ticket holder. \nEnjoy your visit\nThis year we are partnering with local art collective Pool Arts to present a series of exhibitions taking place in our Tea Room and Pineapple Room. Our Wednesday Tour starts at 1pm and lasts approximately 1¼ hours. Tour tickets are available to purchase in advance. Limited tickets may be available on the door but we advise booking online for our tours to avoid disappointment.
