DESCRIPTION:Visit an iconic Manchester Landmark!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are open every Tuesday from the 21st April to September 29th for all to explore! \n \nVictoria Baths is a Grade II* listed building and is remarkably intact. Visit on a Welcome Tuesday and discover the beautiful stained glass windows\, amazing wall tiles\, and incredible mosaic flooring behind the imposing exterior. \nWelcome Tuesday entry is free\, donations are always welcome and help us keep Victoria Baths open for all to enjoy. \nOur entertaining and informative Discover Victoria Baths tour is led by an experienced volunteer guide. Doors open at 11 am for free general entry and the guided tour starts at 1pm\, lasting approximately 1¼ hours. \nBrowse and buy souvenirs and gifts in our wonderful Gift Shop and visit our beautiful Tea Room with its stained glass windows and elaborate wrought iron ceiling\, serving hot and cold drinks\, snacks\, and a bookable Cream Tea. \nGeneral Entry \nYou don’t need to book to explore the building or visit the Tea Room and Gift Shop on a Tuesday – it’s free to pop in between 11am–3pm (last entry 2.30pm). Wander the spaces at your own pace and take time to visit our History Exhibition and immerse yourself in the history of the Baths. \nPlease make a donation if you can – we have both cash and contactless donation points in the building. \nDiscover VB Tour \nDiscover more with our Guided Tours. Every Tuesday at 1pm our expert tour guides take people further into the heritage of the building and the important part it has played in Manchester’s history. Tour tickets are available to book in advance\, limited tickets may be available on the door but booking is recommended to avoid disappointment. \nCream Tea \nTo make your visit extra special\, enjoy a delicious Cream Tea in our beautiful Tea Room – a large fruit scone accompanied by butter\, strawberry jam\, clotted cream\, and tea or coffee. Jam first or cream… it’s up to you! \nPriced at £7.50\, you need to book in advance. DESCRIPTION:Join Manchester Camerata for a special live performance at the iconic Victoria Baths\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA chance to see the UKs most pioneering orchestra in a truly unique and atmospheric venue. \nThis concert celebrates two composers who bridge centuries and musical stlyes: the contemporary\, boundary pushing sounds of Anna Meredith\, and the timeless genius of Beethoven. \nWe begin with ‘Lanolin’ by Anna Meredith\, a composer known for her bold\, imaginative approach to sound. Beethoven’s String Trio in D is a work full of energy\, known for its technical challenges and invention. It’s a piece that showcases Beethoven’s early brilliance and his instinct to challange musical norms. Meredith’s scrying is rhythmic\, playful and full of suprises. Merging elements of contemporary classical with electronica and experimental rock\, it’s a vivid example of her innovative style. The evening closes with Beethoven’s Septet\, a charming elegant piece that was an instant hit in it’s time\, and is still as relevant today\, more than two centuries on. \nWonderful music in a magical building\, this promises to be a event that you won’t forget.
